Portable circuit testers can perform QA
tests before power is applied to motors and after power is
applied for trouble shooting and trending of motor condition.
Off-line tests include rotor, stator
winding and insulation quality. On-line tests include voltage
and current values, unbalance, THD, crest factor, stator,
rotor and air gap information. PdMA has recently announced
the MTAPII, which mounts to the front of the motor cabinet.
All test connections are permanently attached and come out to
a twist-lock connector, eliminating the need to open a panel
during testing. |
